Bullet-Resistant Glazing
- For guaranteed personal security -
Glazing is bullet-resistant if it prevents the penetration of heavy shots and has been officially tested by a proof house in accordance with DIN 52290, DIN EN 1063.
Bullet-resistant glass can be manufactured by combining panes of glass of various thicknesses with multi-layered intermediate layers of highly tear-proof sheeting.
Depending on the type and construction, they can withstand being shot with different handguns.
A distinction is also made between “shatter-proof” NS and “splintering” S. Shatter-proof UNIGLAS® | SAFE glass is used where, in an emergency, people may be directly behind the glass.
UNIGLAS® | SAFE BR is used in banks, military facilities and buildings used for politics, justice and business.
